BONNYVILLE – RCMP members with St. Paul and Vermilion Traffic Services were conducting speed and seatbelt enforcement patrols in the Bonnyville area on April 4.
During the target patrol, seven motorists were ticketed for not wearing their seatbelts in the Town of Bonnyville, while another 11 motorists were ticketed for speeding along Highway 28.
“The warmer weather and melting of ice can make for increased confidence on our roadways,” according to RCMP S/Sgt. Sarah Parke.
“The Bonnyville RCMP would like to take this opportunity to remind motorists to follow the speed limit and watch for increased pedestrian activity on the roadways. Stay safe out there.”
