St. Paul Fire responded to a house fire on Oct. 16 in the town of St. Paul.

UPDATE:

A house fire that occurred on Oct. 16 in St. Paul has been deemed arson, according to St. Paul Fire Chief Trevor Kotowich.

"Upon a subsequent investigation by St. Paul Fire Department, this fire has been deemed intentionally set, and is considered an arson fire," according to the fire chief.

ST. PAUL - St. Paul Fire Services and St. Paul RCMP are asking anyone with information regarding a structure fire that occurred on Friday evening to contact them.

The fire occurred on Oct. 16 at about 8:30 p.m., according to St. Paul Fire Chief Trevor Kotowich, in a media release sent out Saturday evening.

The structure fire occurred in the 5100 Block of 49 Avenue in St. Paul.

"Upon arrival, first responding crews found a single family dwelling that was on fire," according to Kotowich. "Crews made entry and quickly extinguished the fire."

Firefighters confirmed no occupants were home at the time of the fire.
