ST. PAUL - Two people have been charged following a break-in at the Fields store on Boxing Day.

"The suspects had gained entry to the store by cutting a hole in the back exterior wall," according to St. Paul RCMP.

Just before 1 a.m. on Dec. 26, 2020, RCMP located one suspect exiting the building and arrested him without incident.

"St. Paul members searched the Fields store for further suspects with the assistance of the police dog services but did not locate anyone else," according to information from RCMP. But, video surveillance on scene helped police identify a second suspect who was located and arrested later that same day.

Lawrence Desjarlais, 41, and David Letourneau-Janveux, 27, were charged with break and enter into a business, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000. Both men are from St. Paul.

Desjarlais and Letourneau-Janveux were both released, and are scheduled to appear in St. Paul Provincial Court on Feb. 25.
