Thousands of dollars worth of tools taken from Lac La Biche business

Police ask for possible witnesses to Feb 27 theft

LAC LA BICHE - Lac La Biche RCMP are turning to the public for assistance with a theft file that includes more than $20,000 in stolen automotive tools.

RCMP received a complaint from a Lac La Biche business business on March 1 that a large quantity of tools — upwards of $22,000 worth — was missing from two vehicles that had been parked overnight at the commercial location near 101 Avenue and 103 Street.

The tools are described as automotive mechanic tools, and will have distinct markings.

Police are asking anyone who may have been in that area on Monday, February 27 between 3 and 4 in the morning, or may have residential or business video from the same time, to check their files.

Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to contact the Lac La Biche RCMP at 780-404-2500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
