Trafficking charge laid after search warrant executed in Frog Lake

Suspected methamphetamine and prescription drugs found

FROG LAKE – In late 2022, Elk Point RCMP began a drug trafficking investigation on the Frog Lake First Nation. As a result of the ongoing investigation, Elk Point RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence on South Beach Road on Jan. 24. The search resulted in the seizure of approximately 36.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine, various prescription medications, approximately $1,300 in Canadian currency and various weapons including a taser, pellet guns, batons, and swords, according to a media release issued Friday.

RCMP have arrested and charged Priscilla Dorothy McAdam, 43, a resident of Frog Lake First Nation with trafficking a controlled substance, four counts of possession of a restricted weapon and identity theft. The accused was taken before a justice of the peace and released with her next court date set for February 16, 2023 at St. Paul Provincial Court.
