GLENDON - A trial date has been set in relation to the second degree murder charges that stemmed from the deaths of Maurice Cardinal and Jacob Sansom.

"The matter was spoken to in court on Aug. 31," confirmed Crown Prosecutor Jordan Kerr. A judge and jury trial has been scheduled for Oct. 18 to Nov. 21, 2021, in the St. Paul Court of Queen’s Bench.

Glendon men Anthony and Roger Bilodeau are both charged with second degree murder in the deaths of Cardinal and Sansom.

At about 4 a.m. on March 28, Bonnyville RCMP responded to a call from someone who reported two deceased men on a road outside of a parked truck, in the Glendon area.

Autopsies were completed at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner on March 31 and the deaths were deemed as homicide, according to RCMP. Anthony Bilodeau, 31, was charged with two counts of second degree muder, just days later. Then in June, Roger Bilodeau, 56, was also charged with two counts of second degree murder.
