Two arrested after report of shots fired

Multiple resources respond to July 4 incident

ST. PAUL - St. Paul RCMP responded to a call of shots fired in Saddle Lake Cree Nation over the weekend.

On July 4 at 6:09 a.m., multiple RCMP resources responded to the residence, including RCMP Police dog services, the RCMP Emergency Response Team and the RCMP Air Services.  

Two individuals were in the residence, according to information from RCMP. After a period of time, the individuals exited the residence and were arrested without further incident.

There were no injuries during the incident and a firearm was seized, according to RCMP. An investigation into the matter is still underway.
