UPDATED: Vermilion woman wanted in connection to business theft in Bonnyville

Police have obtained a warrant for Sky Martin of Vermilion in connection to the break and enter of a Bonnyville business that occurred in the early morning of Feb. 10. A 24-year-old Vermilion man has already been arrested and charged in relation to the incident.

Bonnyville RCMP have identified and obtained a warrant for the arrest of Sky Martin, 28, of Vermilion in connection to the break and enter of a Bonnyville business.

UPDATE: Police arrested Sky Martin, a 28-year-old woman from Vermilion, on March 2, following a warrant that had been obtained for her arrest in connection to the theft of five vehicles from a Bonnyville business on Feb. 19, according to an RCMP press release.

Martin was arrested on her warrants, but was later released from custody with conditions to appear in court on April 5, in Bonnyville Provincial Court.

BONNYVILLE – Police have obtained a warrant for a Vermilion woman in connection to a break and enter of a Bonnyville business that occurred in the early morning of Feb. 10.  

RCMP have already arrested and charged 24-year-old Vermilion man in relation to the incident. 

At 4 a.m. on the Thursday, Bonnyville RCMP were dispatched to a local business that had been broken into resulting in a number of work trucks and tools being taken, along with significant damage to the business’s fence line and property.

The incident was captured on video surveillance assisting RCMP in identifying suspects. 

Murray Young from Vermilion was arrested and charged on Feb. 10. He faces charges of breaking and entering a business “with intent,” theft over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and theft of a truck (x4). 

Young is scheduled to appear in Bonnyville Provincial Court on March 2. 

As a result of the ongoing investigation, Bonnyville RCMP have identified and obtained a warrant for the arrest of another suspect.  

Sky Martin, 28, of Vermilion, is charged with breaking and entering a business “with intent,” theft over $5,000, and the theft of a truck (x5). 

Martin is described as having a fair complexion with blue eyes and blonde hair. She is 5 ft. 9 in. tall and 180 lbs. 

Bonnyville RCMP are asking for the public's assistance for any information in relation to Martin’s whereabouts. 

The public are cautioned not to approach her, but to contact the Bonnyville RCMP at 780-826-7200, 911 or their local police.
