LAC LA BICHE – A 19-year-old Kikino man is facing a slew of charges including assault and attempting to disarm a police officer during an arrest at Heart Lake First Nation on Jan. 29.

Terry ZItnak, who oversees the local scouting program, says the organization has been trying to raise its profile in the community.

Six “transition beds” for people who are waiting for a space in a continuing care facility opened at the Cold Lake Healthcare Centre on Feb. 10.
