The grand opening of the community’s first public library, housed in the K-12 school, was a time of celebration.

On Jan. 27, St. Paul held its second annual St. Paul Rough Stock Rodeo at the Ag Corral. An open rodeo available to people of all ages. 

The Elk Point Theatre Project first hit the stage of the Elk Point Allied Arts in 2015 with their rendition of ‘The Little Mermaid’ and followed up that smash hit with four years of plays that packed the theatre each spring.

Michael Knox was just 16 years old when he was killed in a collision with an impaired driver on Oct. 2, 1999, just a few short miles from home. His image is being used to remind motorists of the devastating effects of impaired driving.

“These announcements are a poison pill that will have devastating consequences not only on the lives of vulnerable transgender people, but on the entire 2SLGBTQI+ plus community,” said Dr. Kris Wells.

The City of Cold Lake is facing an ongoing issue of vandalism at the Energy Centre, causing disruptions and safety concerns for both staff and visitors of the recreation facility.  

Renovation to the former Kopala building continues to progress. The building will converge Emergency Medical Services (EMS), 911 Services, and Station 5 of the Bonnyville Fire Department all under one roof.
