The St. Paul Canadiens Junior B hockey team lost its home game against the sixth-placed Killam Wheat Kings last Saturday evening by a heart-wrenching 12 – 0 score.

The Saddle Lake Warriors Junior B hockey team bagged a win in one of its three back-to-back-to-back weekend games last week against the Vegreville Rangers, Thorhild Titans and the Lloydminster Bandits.

It was a win that came down to the last arrow for Lakeland Archers member Ian Bouvier at the Canada Winter Games tryout in Edmonton on November 20 and 21, where he had to be the closest to the target for a chance to represent Alberta at the Winter Ga

Last Thursday evening, the St. Paul Bengals and the St. Paul Lions held their annual St. Paul football awards night at St. Paul Regional High.

Indoor soccer season has kicked off with a bang. The teams have been playing all of their games out of town, and members of the executive can’t wait to get all the soccer teams into the Bold Center to start practising in the new year.

Last weekend, the boys’ 1A volleyball teams from both Glendon School and École Mallaig School traveled down to St. Mary’s School in Taber to compete in volleyball provincials. Unfortunately, both teams didn’t make it to the finals.

The St. Paul Canadiens hockey team needs new blood not only on the ice playing against other teams in the Northeast Alberta Junior B Hockey League, but also to help out on the team’s board, according to the team’s general manager, Gary Ward.

The St. Paul Canadiens were dealt the team’s thirteenth consecutive loss of the season by the second place Vermilion Tigers in an away game at Vermilion Arena last Saturday.
