Cold Lake hosts weekend of indoor soccer league play

The Cold Lake Energy Centre was host to the first weekend of Lakeland District Soccer Association league play for this year's indoor soccer season.

COLD LAKE - The Cold Lake Energy Centre was host to the first weekend of Lakeland District Soccer Association league play for this year's indoor soccer season.

Playing on Nov. 4 were U13 boys' teams from St. Paul, Cold Lake and Bonnyville. Playing on Nov. 5 were U15 boys' teams from St. Paul, Bonnyville and Cold Lake, along with U17 girls' teams from the same three communities.

Next up for the indoor soccer season will be a weekend of play on Nov. 18 and 19 where teams in the U11 boys' category will get to play on the Saturday, and teams in the U17 boys' category, U13 girl's category, and U11 girls' category, will hit the field. 

The indoor soccer season will run throughout the winter, with Lakeland Cup set to take place in late February in Lac La Biche at the Bold Centre.
