Indoor soccer players hit the pitch in Cold Lake

Teams from across the Lakeland made the trip to Cold Lake on Saturday for Lakeland District Soccer league games.

COLD LAKE - Teams from across the Lakeland made the trip to Cold Lake on Saturday for Lakeland District Soccer league games.

In the U11 girls' category, Bonnyville, Cold Lake and Lac La Biche went head-to-head.

Also, the U17 boys’ Bonnyville team took on the Lakeland United team, which is made up of players from St. Paul, Cold Lake and Lac La Biche. Bonnyville won 5-2 in their second match of the day. The Bonnyville U17 boys' team has four wins over the Lakeland United team this season.

U13 girls' teams from Bonnyville, Cold Lake and St. Paul also competed on Saturday.

On Sunday, several of the U11 boys’ teams from Bonnyville and Cold Lake played games at the Cold Lake Energy Centre, along with teams from the adult league playing later in the day. 

Many indoor soccer teams will now prepare to head to tournaments outside of the region.
