Tryouts for Plamondon Volleyball Club sees bump in numbers

Selection for U14 team sees spike in interest, nets lots of interest

Coaches looking to fill the 12-player roster of the Plamondon Volleyball Club (PVC) in the upcoming season have had a lot of candidates to choose from. A gymnasium full of 30 girls between the ages of 12 and 14 were at the first of two tryouts for the PVC U14 squad last Monday night. The second session — another two-hour appraisal — was slated for the Bold Center fieldhouse on the following Sunday night.

The PVC club runs independent of the school volleyball teams, drawing hopeful players from the  Plamondon, Lac La Biche and Athabasca areas.
