There's domination, then there is what the Plamondon Mustangs did to all of their opponents this weekend. The Mustangs went undefeated in this weekend to advance to the provincial championship.

Last weekend the Lac La Biche U-19 Girls Fastball team, the Dodgers, traveled to Elk Point to compete in the provincials tournament. The dodgers were the youngest team in the tournament but they certainly had the most fight.

The U14 C Bonnyville Braves swung for the fences and took home a second place finish in provincials. The team claimed silver during the provincial final on Thursday, July 4, in Vermilion against the Castor Crush.

Cold Lake will be home to two Jr. A teams next year.

After an absence of several years, the Elmer Kaufman Memorial Horseshoe Tournament is back. The horseshoe pits at the Lac La Biche Agricultural Grounds will be alive with the ringing of the shoes.

Not one, but two drivers walked away with the championship belt buckles in local chuckwagon action over the weekend. Brad McMann, from Chauvin, AB, and Todd Baptiste, Cando, SK resident, tied for first with an aggregate time of 4:25.

Doug Irvine and his team found their stride in High River. The Iron River-native said it all came together during the 2019 Guy Weadick Days, where he claimed first place overall.

Tanner Boser will be making his debut on one of the biggest stages in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). The Bonnyville born heavyweight fighter will be having his first UFC match against Giacomo Lemos on July 27 in Edmonton at the Rogers Place Arena.

Members of the Bonnyville Jr. A Pontiacs are heading to Russia to represent Canada.

After going undefeated at their year-end tournament, the Bonnyville U12 B Angels are headed to provincials. ”The girls were playing the best ball we played all year,” exclaimed head coach Real Bourbeau.
