Just under 2,600 spectators made their way to the rodeo grounds this past weekend to take in some wild west entertainment as cowboys climbed up on the backs of bulls and bucking broncs as part of the 25th Bonnyville Pro Rodeo.

This past weekend's weather proved to be perfect for the St. Paul Lions football team as it hosted its preseason jamboree against teams from Bonnyville, Grand Centre and Ardrossan.

St. Paul Regional and Glendon School will head to track and field provincials this weekend in Edmonton as zone champions in the 3A and 1A categories, after both schools finished well above the competition in overall points.

It was an experience 12 Glendon School track and field athletes and two coaches will likely never forget.

St. Paul Regional High School won the 32nd annual RCMP Challenge Cup Road Race last Tuesday, with about 400 students from schools in the area competing in the senior, junior and open categories of the race.

It wasn't the first-place finish they were aiming for, but the U13 Rhinos received some redemption when the girls volleyball team defeated the White Pandas club in the bronze medal match to claim third place overall at the division I provincial champ
