April 4, 1955 – October 12, 2023
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden death of our beloved brother, brother-in-law, and uncle. He is survived by his sisters Margaret Cathers, Shirley Cameron (Joanne MacNeil), and Cecile Cameron; brother Raymond (Rose-Marie) Cameron, and sister-in-law Shelley Cameron. He loved dearly his nieces and nephews: Kim (Kris) Jensen, Makis (Suzanne) Vitoratos, Charles Cameron, Myles Cameron, and Elizabeth Cameron. To his great delight, Ivan became a great uncle and leaves behind to mourn the limited time they had to spend with him, August and Shepherd Jensen, and Bane and Lawrence Vitoratos.
Ivan was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Yvonne Cameron, his brother Lawrence Cameron, and brother-in-law Bob Cathers.
A private funeral liturgy and celebration of Ivan’s life will be held in Sherwood Park, Alberta. Messages of condolences may be shared with the family at Glenwood Funeral Home at www.glenwoodmemorial.com. In lieu of sending flowers, please consider donating to Arthritis Society Canada.
Ivan was grateful for the support and assistance he received from his family, friends, and Home Care Sherwood Park, especially in these last challenging years. He would have wanted everyone to remember the old-fashioned small-town values of family, friendship, and community support.
