It is with profound sadness that the family of Helen Koenig (nee Hansen) announces her unexpected passing on Monday, August 14, 2023, at the age of 83 years.
Helen will be fondly remembered and loved by her two brothers: John Hansen, Bill Hansen both of Ardmore, AB; niece: Rebecca Heartt of Athabasca, AB; nephew: Randy (Laura-Lee) Heartt of Bonnyville, AB; great nephews: Kristian Heartt (Siobhan Scantland) of Leduc, AB, Benjamin Heartt of Elkford, BC; stepchildren: Pamela (Darryl) Finner of Sylvan Lake, AB, Kevin Koenig of Red Deer, AB, Gregg (Carolyn) Koenig of Calgary, AB; as well as many other relatives & friends.
Helen was predeceased by her husband of 17 years: Charles Koenig (2017); parents: Mary Hansen (nee Shyjka) (1963) & Peter Hansen (1979); brother: Andrew Hansen (2003); sister: Anna Heartt (2021); brother-in-law: Paul Heartt (2020); infant nephew: David Heartt (1965).
Public visitation, Sunday, August 20, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Northern Lights Funeral Chapel, Bonnyville, Alberta.
Memorial Service, Monday, August 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., Bonnyville Baptist Church, Bonnyville, Alberta with Lloyd Brown officiating. Helen’s heartfelt desire was to be remembered for her love and good times had with family and friends.
