With grateful hearts for a life well lived, the family of Mike Kunec of LaCorey, Alberta is saddened to announce his passing on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at the age of 88 years.
Mike will be lovingly remembered by his two brothers: George (Marie) Kunec of St. Albert, Nestor (Jacki) Kunec of Bonnyville; two nieces: Natasha (Ryan) Gerace of St. Albert, Tina (Dustin) Tkachuk of Edmonton; three nephews: Nicholas (Alisha) Kunec of LaCorey; Nathan (Kristi) Kunec of Calgary, Alex (Amanda) Kunec of Tomball, Texas, USA; as well as numerous great nieces & great nephews.
Mike was predeceased by his parents: Michael & Mary Kunec; brother: Bohdane Kunec.
Funeral Service, Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Memento Funeral Chapel, Bonnyville, Alberta with Reverend Father Peter Haugen officiating. Pallbearers: Keith Davies, Ivan Davies, Roger Beaunoyer, Tom Knudsen, Rick Reddecliff, Murray Scott. Final Resting Place, Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery of St. John the Baptist, Big Meadow, AB.
