One little letter, and suddenly water beds are safe again

In the early days of Facebook, one of the first globally used social networking sites, content shared by ‘Friends’ showed up in people’s ‘News Feed’ in chronological order and displayed everyone's shared content. Now, an algorithm decides what users see and what they don’t see.

Since the advent of the printing press, the discussion of who should pay for news has been a never-ending debate. Should it be government funded? Should it be funded by private entities? Should a monopoly of ownership be allowed? Should news be publicly funded? And what is the difference? 

As the province burns, politicians try to ignite support with fire-sale issues. Will Albertans get burned again?

It is easy to look around and ask, “Why is no one doing anything about this?” No matter what that question is directed towards, if someone makes the decision to do something, things can begin to change.
