According to a study done in the States, young people, especially males ages 16 to 25, are in the age group least likely to buckle up, with the study stating that males in this group tend not to believe they will be injured or killed in an accident.

I write this letter out of frustration, realizing that it will probably only be read by the 95 per cent of the population who are responsible and respecting of the property of others. To you, my remarks are not directed.

Since Hurricane Igor slammed into Newfoundland on Sept. 21, many lives have been disrupted, landmarks have been changed, and yet another life lesson has been learned.

Thanksgiving has come and gone, but not the reason for the holiday. The day is a chance to reflect on all the things one is thankful for. Of course it is also a day of great food.

Roy ‘Doc' Halladay is the best pitcher today, has been for several years and will likely be for years to come. Luckily, here in Canada we were treated to almost 11 years of greatness.

Dear Editor: I understand from reading the Oct. 5 issue of the St. Paul Journal that Town of St. Paul council is going to set aside some money to donate to the Ukrainian Dance Club to help with the club’s new studio costs.
