To the Editor: In May 2010, Lorne Buryn asked County of St. Paul council to build approximately 200 feet of road to provide him with additional access to a proposed build-site on his quarter.

Enough is Enough. (article in response to Terry Colosimo’s column on November 15th re: Rene Bourque) Should I or shouldn’t I?? Terry, get it right.

Politics is mainly about business, and maybe a little bit about having fun - some of the time. Recently Cold Lake Mayor Craig Copeland and MLA for Bonnyville-Cold Lake Genia Leskiw have been having just that.

We say it every year. We say it throughout the year. Shop Local. It’s what keeps our community growing.

This week’s St. Paul Journal includes a salute to Canada’s veterans, in advance of Remembrance Day on Nov. 11. This year’s Remembrance Day section also highlights the service of a soldier in the Korean War, sometimes called Canada’s Forgotten War.

Remembrance Day is a time to put aside political stripes and to honour and pay respect to those who not only fought for our country, but for anyone around the world who made sacrifices to contribute the freedoms we enjoy today.

There is a famous saying that when God wants our attention, He throws a pebble. If we don’t notice, He throws a rock. If we still don’t notice, then we just might get hit with the brick.

As I approach my third month here in Bonnyville, I think enough time has passed to officially consider myself a bona fide Pontiacs fan.

Growing up, I remember the ceremonies surrounding Nov. 11, Remembrance Day, more so for our little community because we had a Royal Canadian Legion branch in our town.

This past month I visited my brother's grave in the catholic cemetery in Bonnyville. As I walked through, I noticed the beautiful fence that was behind my brother's grave. The sun was shining that day. The cemetery was now a peaceful resting place.
