Ashmont School celebrates National Indigenous Peoples Day with school powwow

With rainy and wet weather outside, the Ashmont School powwow on National Indigenous Peoples Day was moved indoors into the kindergarten to Grade 12 school’s gymnasium on June 21.

ASHMONT - With rainy and wet weather outside, the Ashmont School powwow on National Indigenous Peoples Day was moved indoors into the kindergarten to Grade 12 school’s gymnasium on June 21. The afternoon event featured various styles of dancing by students, drumming, and special guests.

Schools throughout the St. Paul Education region held a variety of events in honour of National Indigenous Peoples Day, last week.
