LAKELAND - Hot, summer-like weather is expected on Friday and Saturday across the Lakeland region, with temperatures expected to reach 29C on Saturday.
According to Environment Canada's forecast on Friday morning, the temperature in the St. Paul area is expected to climb to 25C, and then even higher on Saturday.
Temperatures should dip on Sunday, with a high of 15C being forecast, but they could increase back into the 20s by Tuesday. Wednesday's forecast shows a high of 28C.
Several municipalities in the region have put fire restrictions and fire bans in place, due to the hot, dry weather, and fire authorities are asking residents to use caution.
