Past week sees numerous cases of COVID in St. Paul area schools

Glen Avon School in St. Paul has four active cases of respiratory virus
covid19

ST. PAUL - A number of schools under the St. Paul Education umbrella have confirmed active cases of COVID-19 over the past week.

On Friday, when asked for a break-down of the active cases in schools, Superintendent Glen Brodziak provided information stating there was:

  • 1 active case at St. Paul Elementary
  • 1 active case associated with St. Paul Regional High School
  • 3 cases at Two Hills Mennonite School
  • 4 cases at Glen Avon School in St. Paul
  • 1 one case at FG Miller School in Elk Point

While some of the schools affected don’t have students attending regular classes, due to the move to online learning for students in Grades 7 to 12, the school division says its goal is to continue to keep parents and guardians updated on what is happening at the schools.

Anyone in a cohort with positive cases has already been notified.

*Numbers are accurate as of Friday, Dec. 4 at 12 p.m.
