St. Paul’s Search and Rescue team spent four days combing Saddle Lake for a missing 22-year-old, but with no success in finding her, RCMP called off their search after last Wednesday’s efforts.

Rob Duffy with SAR said that the St. Paul crew spent Oct. 23 to 26 looking for Christine Cardinal, who was last seen during the early morning hours of Oct. 13 at about 8:30 a.m., one kilometer north of the Bison Auto station in Saddle Lake. RCMP and RCMP Air Services were also part of search efforts, while Cold Lake Search and Rescue was also called to assist on Oct. 23, but following that, RCMP called off the SAR crews, with the belief that they had “exhausted all areas,” said Duffy, while RCMP continues its investigation.

The Saddle Lake resident is described as aboriginal, 5’9, 123 lbs, with long black hair, brown eyes, with a scar on her right bicep and a cut on her top lip, and a tattoo of ‘ns’ on her left hand. She was last seen wearing a grey sweater and black shorts with no shoes.

If you have any information as to her whereabouts, please contact St. Paul RCMP at 780-645-8888. If you want to remain anonymous, you can contact Crime Stoppers by phone at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), or by internet at www.tipsubmit.com.
