Some mutts up for adoption at St. Paul Animal Shelter

The National Mutt Day is just around the corner – a celebration of mixed breed dogs. The campaign began in 2005 to bring awareness for mixed breed dogs in shelters waiting for their new home. You could adopt one at the St. Paul Animal Shelter.

ST. PAUL – National Mutt Day is just around the corner – a celebration of mixed breed dogs on July 31. The campaign began in 2005 to bring awareness for mixed breed dogs in shelters waiting for their new home.

The St. Paul Animal Shelter currently has several dogs up for adoption.

Scooter

Scooter, a brother to three, is one of them. He is eight months old. A Labrador and Siberian retriever husky.

He may be shy at the beginning, but he will never your side when you warm up to him. He also likes kids, but he asks that you be gentle with him to not scare him off. He loves cuddles, walks, and shaking your hand.

Miley

Miley is a Pitbull and a Great Dane terrier. He's three years old. For those looking for a cuddle, Miley is not very energetic, so he may be the perfect option.

He gets along with most dogs and likes children.

Angel Baby

Angel Baby is three years and nine months old. Like Scooter, she is shy and asks that you be gentle with her. She also gets along well with most dogs, but not cats. She may be a good option for those without cats at home.

And like Miley, she also gets along well with kids.

For inquiries, the St. Paul Animal Shelter is open Wednesday to Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. They can also be reached at: 780-645-2262.
