ST. PAUL - Another St. Paul school has notified parents and guardians of a positive COVID-19 case.
A student from St. Paul Regional High School has tested positive for COVID-19, according to a Dec. 1 letter sent out to parents and guardians from St. Paul Education Superintendent Glen Brodziak.
The school division was notified that a student from St. Paul Regional High School has tested positive for the respiratory virus, reads the letter. The school serves students from Grade 10 to 12 and is the largest high school in the St. Paul area.
"We realize that most of our students are receiving 'at-home' learning, but our goal is still to keep you apprised of what is happening in your child's school," according to the superintendent. Due to privacy issues, no other information is being disclosed.
"Out of an abundance of caution," parents and guardians of students who were in the same cohort as the individual have already been contacted.
"If you haven't heard from us, then your child was not identified as a close contact, and no quarantine is necessary," according to Brodziak.
Earlier in the same day, a letter was sent out by St. Paul Education notifying parents and guardians at St. Paul Elementary School that there was a positive case at that school also. St. Paul Elementary serves students from kindergarten to Grade 5, which means most of those students are still learning in the classroom and attending regular classes.
