ST. PAUL – The 2395 Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps wrapped up their2024-25 season at its Annual Ceremonial Review on Thursday, June 12, with the presentation of awards recognizing the year’s top cadets following an outdoor parade at the Royal Canadian Legion parade square.
The top cadet in each of five levels were first to receive awards, these going to Best Green Star - Lance Corporal H. Reid; Best Red Star –Master Corporal J. Ng; Best Silver Star - Sergeant A. Pitman; Best Gold Star – Warrant Officer C. Smyl; and Best Master Cadet – Master Warrant Officer E. Schwab.
Master Corporal Ng was also named this year’s Most Outstanding Junior Cadet, while Warrant Officer Smyl was named the Most Outstanding Senior Cadet.
Master Warrant Officer Schwab earned three more awards for Best Attendance, Congeniality and Best Marksmanship, as well as a plaque and $50 cash prize for Best on Parade.
Warrant Officer M. Paliwoda received this year’s Most Improved Cadet award.
