The closure of the Edmonton Municipal Airport will have a serious impact on medical services in rural communities, according to Wendle Umble from Alberta Central Airways, located in Lac La Biche.

The owner of Hansen’s Hotel, which burnt down in a fire on May 1, is standing at a standstill and frustrated that while a suspect has been identified, charges have yet to be laid in the case that’s been deemed an arson.

The names for those running for a seat in the Town of St. Paul and the County of St. Paul councils, as well as those running for local school boards have been announced, following the close of nominations on Sept. 20 at noon.
