The St. Paul and District Arts Foundation was awarded $38,692 from the Alberta government to upgrade its facilities, through the Minister of Arts, Culture and Status of Women.

A large renovation project will close the St. Paul McDonalds location for a month. The restaurant is expected to reopen in May.

County of St. Paul will continue its partnership with STARS Air Ambulance, increasing its annual contribution to a fixed rate of $14,000 for 2024 and 2025. 

The Town of St. Paul has issued a development permit for the establishment of a funeral home in the Parellel Lanes Bowling Alley building located in downtown St. Paul that in the future could potentially include a crematorium.

ST. PAUL - Fire trucks and emergency vehicles stopped traffic along St. Paul's main street on March 30, but there was no danger, just an annual cause that raises thousands of dollars each year.

On April 2, the Government of Alberta announced it will increase funding to Family Resource Networks (FRN) by $6.6 million over two years through Budget 2024, which increases the total funding to $66.7 million.

Saddle Lake Cree Nation Chief Terry Cardinal was elected in 2022. He passed away at the age of 68 years old.

The County of St. Paul signed a joint letter addressed to Premier Danielle Smith and Affordability and Utilities Minister Nathan Neudorf asking for a 35 km buffer zone from wind turbines along the North Saskatchewan River within the County of St. Paul.  

From April 3 to April 12, there will be several evenings where the emergency department at the hospital in Smoky Lake will likely experience service disruptions.

Ty Lafrance of St. Paul, and the Bulldogs Baseball Academy in Lloydminster, has committed to play for the Edmonton Collegiate Hawks's junior varsity team. Another baseball athlete from the St. Paul region has also been playing for the Hawks since the Fall of 2023. Nolan Dechaine, who comes from St. Lina, congratulated Ty for his commitment to the team.
