Transport truck rolls on Highway 41, south of Bonnyville

Black dirt is piled up along the edge of the highway, as Bonnyville RCMP and firefighters assess the scene of a North East Bulk Transportation Services truck rollover the morning of July 30. The driver of the truck, which was travelling northbound on Highway 41 near the intersection with Highway 28, was reported by the company to have injuries including a broken leg but was responsive as he was transfered by ambulance to an Edmonton hospital for further treatment. RCMP on scene said they will continue to investigate the cause of the incident.

A man driving a North East Bulk Transportation Services truck travelling northbound on Highway 41, just south of the intersection with Highway 28, carrying two trailers full of black dirt, rolled into the ditch on the morning of July 30. According to Lorne Stover, a North East Bulk representative on scene, the driver was responsive and had injuries, including a broken leg, and was transferred by Bonnyville ambulance to an Edmonton hospital for further treatment. RCMP members on scene said they will continue to investigate to determine a cause of the incident.
