Boscome and St. Paul 4-H clubs show off their flock

On May 27, a total of 103 graduates from École Notre Dame High School walked across the stage marking the end of their high school careers.

The World Professional Chuckwagon races and Pro Rodeo will take over the Bonnyville Ag Society grounds from June 8-11 as chuckwagon drivers, cowboys and cowgirls lean into a new season of competitions.

Highway 660 is currently closed between Highway 41 and Range Road 455, as first responders are on scene dealing with a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 41 and Highway 660, north of the Town of Bonnyville. An early morning fire that is being considered suspicious at this time is threatening to erase one of Bonnyville’s first hospitals, Duclos Hospital. The building has sat vacant for more than a year following an AHS order to close the building.

UCP candidate elect Scott Cyr swept the Bonnyville-Cold-Lake-St. Paul riding, taking about 75 per cent of the vote according to reports by Elections Alberta shortly after midnight on May 30.

UCP candidate Scott Cyr is leading in the polls by more than 800 votes compared to NDP candidate Caitlyn Blake, as more than half of the polling stations in the Bonnyville-Cold Lake- St. Paul are reporting ballot counts.
