Seven Lakeland U15 athletes were selected to take part in the 2022 Alberta Zone Championship and represent Zone 7, the northeast region. The tournament took place over the Aug. 19-21 weekend.

The Bonnyville RCMP detachment is inviting community members to its quinquennial Regimental Ball taking place at the C2 Centre on Sept. 17. The formal evening will include centuries-old Mountie traditions, as well as cocktails, dinner, silent and live auctions, with a dance to follow.
