CHERRY GROVE – The Cherry Grove hall was brimming with festive vendors for their annual Christmas Bazaar on Dec. 7. Combined with a canteen, Christmas music, and friendly faces, the event gave the community the opportunity to come together and socialize as well as do some holiday shopping.
Ag Society President Barry Machan says the Cherry Grove Christmas Bazaar is a long-standing tradition, and says the ag society is always putting on events with a focus on benefiting the community.
A raffle was held at the event that fundraised for the Ag Society, though Machan explained that the heart of the event was to create opportunities for local vendors, and to deliver feel-good events for the community.
“Whatever we get from the raffle all goes towards the maintenance of the building,” said Machan.
Machan said they are always looking for volunteers, for those who would like to donate some of their time and help give back to the community.
Machan said their next event is a Santa Claus Breakfast, happening on Dec. 14. There will be photos with Santa and story time with Santa.
“It’s for the kids in the community, and we try to host events for our residents.”
