Bonnyville amateur boxers win fight cards in Cold Lake

Local boxers Cooper Goliquer and Jeremy Fagnan had a successful showing at the Clash of the Titans III: Uprising event held on March 4 at the Cold Lake Energy Centre.

BONNYVILLE – On March 4, two Bonnyville boxers competing in the Clash of the Titans III: Uprising event held at the Cold Lake Energy Centre, found success in their respective amateur fight cards.

Cooper Goliquer won in a unanimous decision after three rounds of fighting, while Jeremy Fagnan won his bout in the ring during the second round following an RSC (Referee Stopped Contest).

Fagnan’s win against Grande Prairie fighter Kurtis Swanson was made even sweeter considering it was his first ever amateur fight card.

The Cold Lake event hosted by Titans Boxing Club was Goliquer’s third bout in the ring. The amateur heavyweight fighter holds a 3-0 record following his victory over Lac La Biche fighter Michael Gardner.

Both athletes are trained by K.A. Boxing coaches Ray Dumais and Ray Kahanyshyn. They train between two to three times a week at the Bonnyville Ukrainian Catholic Church.
