Officers located a "drug kit" during a traffic stop and arrested the female driver as a result.
Kaitlyn G. Gilbertson pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and failing to comply with her conditions after appearing in the Bonnyville Provincial Courthouse on Tuesday, June 18.
Gilbertson was on a recognizance during a December 2018 traffic stop, where a Bonnyville RCMP officer noticed the address indicated in their system for the woman wasn't up-to-date. Under Gilbertson's conditions, she was required to notify the RCMP if she changed addresses.
During the arrest, RCMP located what St. Paul chief Crown prosecutor Jordan Kerr said police described as a "drug kit."
A needle containing a brown liquid, later identified as four-grams worth of methamphetamine, was found.
Gilbertson agreed to the described statement of facts, and adjourned her sentencing for the completion of a pre-sentence report.
Her next appearance will be Aug. 20.
