FRANCHERE - The Franchere Social Community Centre’s Fall Fair was another huge annual success, Sept. 21. Thick early morning fog gave way to a mix of sun and clouds for an afternoon that offered everything from two massive bounce houses and a riddle-studded corn maze to pumpkin bowling, balloon darts, face painting, BB shoot, ball tosses, log-mounted pillow fights, water-pistol-powered boat races and the always popular cake walks and Redneck Relay.
Gardeners entered their most impressive cucumbers for a cash prize, families gathered for photos on a decorated bale sofa, lined up for specialty coffees and concession goodies and wrote down their bids in the silent auction. This year’s fair featured the Klatt Family Ranch Petting Zoo for the first time, and Glendon’s Class of 2025 was on hand to oversee the children’s games.
