BONNYVILLE - As of early Monday afternoon, Highway 41 south of LaCorey remained closed. RCMP expect the highway could reopen late Monday afternoon, but that would be dependant on a few factors.

A collision that occurred in the early hours on Sunday morning included a tanker rollover, which released crude oil onto the highway, according to Bonnyville RCMP S/Sgt. Sarah Parke.

"The road was immediately closed for environmental clean up and remains closed," stated Parke at about 1 p.m. Monday. "We anticipate it may reopen by 4 p.m. today (Monday) but that will be dependent on a few different factors, including the weather."
