Sonny's Liquor Store broken into

A broken back door and damaged shelves were what Bonnyville RCMP found after responding to a multi-hit alarm at Sonny's Liquor Store.

At 3:43 a.m. on April 23, police responded to the alarm at the store. When officers arrived they found the rear garage door had been smashed inwards and damaged.

Shelving units inside were also broken as a result.

Video surveillance showed two vehicles were involved.

A white Ford F350 was used to back into the store, while a Dodge Nitro is seen waiting in the parking lot.

Two suspects stole bottles of alcohol and loaded up the truck.

Both vehicles fled the scene, heading west on 50 Ave.

Sgt. Kim Hillier said multiple items were seized for forensic examination, and any information on the incident can be forwarded to the Bonnyville RCMP detachment.

Concerned citizen reports possible stolen vehicle

After a concerned citizen reported a suspicious vehicle on their property on April 23, RCMP recovered a Ford F350 that had been stolen from Ensign Energy.

According to police, the truck was abandoned on the property and they are continuing to investigate.

RCMP were asked to conduct a welfare check on 41-year-old Tanya Kenny after a friend reported she had received some concerning information from Kenny, and was no longer able to reach her.

On April 20, at approximately 11:30 p.m. officers began checking residences and public areas for Kenny, however were unable to speak with her face-to-face to confirm her safety.

Anyone with information that could assist RCMP are asked to contact the detachment at 780-343-7200.

Multiple company vehicles stolen from Lyn-Den Oilfield Contracting

Three vehicles were stolen from Lyn-Den Oilfield Contracting.

RCMP responded to a multi-hit alarm on April 21 at the company yard located in La Corey.

The vehicles taken were equipped with GPS, which allowed RCMP to track the suspects as they fled towards Lac La Biche.

With the assistance of Lac La Biche RCMP, two of the vehicles were recovered. Shortly after the initial call, the third stolen vehicle was located abandoned.

Surveillance footage obtained by police determined the thieves arrived at the Lyn-Den yard in a Dodge Nitro and a white pick-up truck.

The pick-up was disabled using a tire deflation device, however the suspects in the Dodge have yet to be apprehended.

RCMP are continuing to investigate the incident and are asking for any information about the incident or the suspects.

Ontario male arrested on outstanding warrants

A Shallow Lake, ON male was arrested by Bonnyville RCMP after a self-initiated traffic stop on April 21.

The vehicle failed to stop for pedestrians on main street in Bonnyville.

The driver stopped for police and an investigation revealed the license plate had been reported stolen and didn't match the vehicle.

Ryan Girdler, a 35-year-old male, was arrested on outstanding Bonnyville warrants and has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime less than $5,000, and multiple violation tickets.

He was released on a recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court May 21.

Fort Kent mailboxes damaged and broken

On April 23, police received a call that the mailboxes in Fort Kent had been damaged and broken into.

At this time, it's unknown if any mail was stolen.
