The suspect arrested for slashing tires after an argument was sentenced to 15 days, time-served.
Niton Thomas Saulteaux pled guilty to possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and mischief causing damage under $5,000 during his Tuesday, May 7 court appearance.
The incident took place in July 2018, when Saulteaux and his girlfriend got into an altercation.
Police were called to Kehewin following the report of a male slashing the tires of someone's vehicle.
According to the complainant, Saulteaux had been arguing with his girlfriend when the victim decided to intervene, stepping in between them.
Saulteaux grabbed a knife and was waving it around, Crown prosecutor Tyler McLean described.
As Saulteaux was leaving the area, he slashed the tires of the complainant's truck.
Honourable Judge Clifton Purvis agreed with the joint submission of 15 days in custody and a three-year firearms prohibition.
