With the completion of the Cherry Grove fire hall on the horizon, new volunteer fire fighters have been training in preparation for its opening.

A fire restriction is in place as of May 1 for the MD of Bonnyville No. 87, Summer Village of Bonnyville Beach, Summer Village of Pelican Narrows and Village of Glendon.

Clayton Bellamy cut the ribbon during the grand opening ceremony for the Strathcona Performing Arts Centre on April 30, in Bonnyville. 

The Lakeland Agricultural Research Association (LARA) has been promoting the federally funded On-Farm Climate Action Fund (OFCAF), which gives financial support to farmers to accelerate their adoption of regenerative agriculture practices, or “on-farm Beneficial Management Practices (BMPs).”

The Town of Bonnyville has elected to re-start their rural immigration program that offers permanent residence to skilled workers wanting to settle in rural communities.

Registration is open to participate in the 2025 Cancer Fun Run, a fundraiser for the Bonnyville Cancer Centre.
