On April 30, first responders in Bonnyville set up a mock incident scene in a parking lot just outside the Bonnyville and District Centennial Centre (C2) for its annual mock collision event.

The Bonnyville and District Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for its 2024 Business Resiliency Awards.  

Town of Bonnyville council has approved its 2024 capital and operating budgets, sticking with a two per cent tax increase.

Stolen property including trailers and "copious amounts of stolen copper wire" were seized by Bonnyville RCMP during a search warrant that was executed on April 25, near Fort Kent.

Two people have been charged following what police describe as "hate motivated crimes" that took place in Bonnyville. A victim's vehicle was burnt during the incident.

On Wednesday morning, the Municipal District of Bonnyville cancelled a state of local emergency and localized evacuation alert that had been in place due to a wildfire burning in Cold Lake First Nations.

A state of local emergency remains in effect in the MD of Bonnyille, although a localize evacuation order has been downgraded to an evacuation alert.
