On March 1, the Bonnyville Pontiacs U15-2 team, composed of 17 players, held a fundraiser for the Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta at the Bonnyville and District Centennial Centre. 

After securing a fourth place in the league, the Bonnyville Pontiacs will be able to rest for awhile as the bottom six teams proceeds to a play-in series from March 7 to 13.

The Bonnyville RCMP were kept busy last with dealing with 133 investigations from February 23 to March 1. Two hours after receiving a call of an SUV stolen from the 4100 block of 43 Ave. on Feb.

The Ardmore 4-H Beef Club held its annual Communications Day in Cold Lake on Feb. 25 at the Cold Lake Agricultural Society, celebrating half a century for the local 4-H club.

One of the two men found guilty in relation to the deaths of Jacob Sansom and Maurice Cardinal near Glendon, Alta. has been allowed to visit family and go to church unescorted for 72 hours per month.

The event featured Edmonton Oilers’ alumni Georges Laraque, who spoke about his time in the NHL, his passion for the sport, and his challenges.

The Alberta Government has announced the redesignation of Muriel Lake Provincial Recreation Area (PRA). This decision signifies the end of its management under the Provincial Parks Act, with the site now set to be governed under the Public Lands Act.

Cadrin says he feels honoured to be recognized. The recognition also puts into perspective how long he has been playing the sport he loves. 

On Feb. 16 at 2 p.m., Bonnyville RCMP were alerted that an RCMP bait truck had just been stolen in Bonnyville. 

On Feb. 18, the Bonnyville Oilmen's Society held its annual Family Fun Day at the Vezeau Beach Park. Over 300 people attended the event.
