On Feb. 24, the 4 Wing headquarters and nearby buildings were evacuated after a suspicious package was received at the base. An investigation by military police later determined the package was not a threat.

RCMP Const. Victoria Forbes was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm, following a serious collision in Cold Lake First Nations last summer, sending both drivers to hospital.

After a high-risk traffic stop in Cold Lake, the Lakeland RCMP Crime Reduction Unit arrested Laine Solway-Martial on outstanding warrants in relation to carjacking that took place on Jan. 26. RCMP have charged three others following the traffic stop.
