Local thrifts stores are asking residents not to make donations overnight

Alberta's Minister of Infrastructure Prasad Panda was in the Cold Lake area on Tuesday to announce the provincial government's financial commitment to the Cold Lake First Nations LTE Fixed Wireless Upgrade Project.

The Cold Lake John Howard Society had to stop offering their Mat Program due to a funding shortfall, however, they continue to help those in need with outreach services and a space to get out of the elements and enjoy a hot meal.

COLD LAKE - The City of Cold Lake held their annual Canada Day festivities, but this year it was more than just about celebrating being Canadian.

The City of Cold Lake is ready to celebrate getting back to normal.

COLD LAKE - Bryan Collins, the man convicted in the August 2020 death of Kevin Evans, has been sentenced to serve eight years in prison, less time served. Collins pled guilty to manslaughter in April in relation to the murder of 41-year-old Evans.

Derek Drake, 32, and Katie Fiddler, 18, have been arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine and cocaine after Cold Lake RCMP locate and seize $140,000 worth of drugs.

A 30-year-old Cold Lake man has been charged with second-degree murder following a fatal stabbing on June 21.
