Concerns have been raised by the City of Cold Lake over unexpected costs tied to its two electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, located at City Hall and the Energy Centre. 

A man who police thought had a concealed firearm at the Cold Lake Healthcare Centre is now facing charges, although it was later determined the item was an imitation handgun.

Police stopped a vehicle on Oct. 31, believing the occupants were involved in illegal drug trafficking.

The Cold Lake Energy Centre will once again serve as the venue for the community’s annual Remembrance Day ceremony, hosted by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 211 in partnership with 4 Wing. 

City of Cold Lake council will be writing a letter to the provincial government as it seeks clarity about regulations around the use of enclosed electric scooters in the community.

Police are looking for a suspect they believe was involved in two separate break and enters at a business complex in Cold Lake.

In response to recent changes to the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program's Rural Renewal Stream, City of Cold Lake council has decided to defer sending a letter to MLA Scott Cyr until a meeting with provincial officials to provide further clarity on the implications of these modifications.
