According to Environment Canada’s preliminary calculations, the Cold Lake area was one of 13 areas across the province to have set a new temperature record for Sept. 2.

COLD LAKE - Earlier this summer, the City of Cold Lake held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new wastewater treatment plant.  

Alberta RCMP are reporting that they have lifted have lifted the shelter place advisory in the CFB Cold Lake area. The advisory was put in place just before 8 am.

RCMP from Cold Lake and Bonnyville are "tracking a reportedly armed suspect in the area of CFB Cold lake." The City of Cold Lake has closed the golf course for the day.

Concerns surrounding accessibility and mobility issues at the Points West Living and assisted living complex were brought to the table during the Aug. 27 City of Cold Lake council meeting.  

During the Aug. 27 regular council meeting, City of Cold Lake council approved a motion to refer the proposal for a food recycling pilot project to council’s Corporate Priorities Committee.

Over two months after the incident took place, RCMP are reaching out to the public for information regarding an alleged assault that took place at the Cold Lake Energy Centre field house on May 31.

Cold Lake RCMP are looking for the public’s help to locate 19-year-old Enoch resident Donna Cowan-Roasting.

A water quality advisory that had been issued on Aug. 8 for Kinosoo Beach on Cold Lake has been lifted as of Aug. 27.
