COLD LAKE - In the heartwarming spirit of the holiday season, the community of Cold Lake once again came together to support a noble cause through the fourth edition of the Great Cold Lake Turkey Race.

The City of Cold Lake is addressing a shortage of medical professionals by expanding its physician count. Under the oversight of the City of Cold Lake’s municipally controlled corporation, the CL Medical Clinic has increased the number of practicing physicians in the community. 

Cold Lake RCMP are hoping the public can help locate a 20-year-old man that has not been seen since Dec. 6.

Marty Belisle has been creating huge, colourful outdoor Christmas and Halloween displays at his family's house in Cold Lake for 33 years. It has been a fun hobby that he could dabble with all year long.

On Nov. 30, a group of women at the Bonnyville Baptist church got together to raise money for Days for Girls, a non-profit organization that helps women and girls around the world access feminine hygiene products.

This year's Sparkle in the Park has an impressive 53 displays, up from 21 last year. The event takes place at the Cold Lake MD of Bonnyville Campground Dec. 4 to 9.

With the arrival of winter, a noticeable absence of snowfall has cast a shadow over Kinosoo Ridge Snow Resort, located near Cold Lake. Celebrated for its scenic beauty, the ski kill finds itself without the usual blanket of snow as the opening weekend for the ski hill has now come and gone.
