Elk Point Elementary students showcase their many talents

Elk Point Elementary School students sang, danced, joked, hopped, kicked and howled their way into the hearts of a capacity crowd of parents and family members at their annual Showcase and Tea on May 9.

ELK POINT – Elk Point Elementary School students sang, danced, joked, hopped, kicked and howled their way into the hearts of a capacity crowd of parents and family members at their annual Showcase and Tea on Friday, May 9 in an auditorium decked with artwork from every class and tables filled with auction-worthy baking provided by the parents for a fundraiser.

A full two dozen acts choreographed and coordinated by Performing Arts teacher Stephanie Earle were welcomed to the stage by Aspyn Kelly, Jacob Prymak and Annabelle Rogucki.

Kindergarten to Grade 3 classes each took their turns in portraying parts of ‘Bunnies: The Musical’ in song and dance, two groups of Elk Point Ukrainian Dance Club members delighted the audience with their traditional numbers, and 10 singers, five dancers, a quartet with jokes, a two-man skit and a Karate demonstration filled up the two hour program with entertainment, as the visitors enjoyed tea, coffee and snacks.
