LAC LA BICHE – Young athletes from around the Lac La Biche region showcased their abilities during the annual Lakeland Schools Athletic Association (LSAA), track and field ward finals, held on May 26 at the Bold Centre sports fields.
The competition drew junior high school-age athletes from schools in Lac La Biche, Beaver Lake, Caslan, and Plamondon. Student-athletes competed in various events, including shot put, discus, long jump, high jump, hurdles, and javelin throwing.
Athletes who finished in the top two positions in each age level in their events moved onto the district championship, which took place in Bonnyville on June 3.
